Chembi Laboratories is a subsidiary company first licensed in 2010 and is wholly owned by Chembi (Pty) Ltd. It is a registered limited liability company founded and owned by young Basotho professionals. Its operational hub is at Mazenod, Maseru.

Our main business is in the supply and distribution to hospital, government, research, training and academic institutions, utilities and private companies’ laboratories and departments of chemicals, consumables, equipment and consultancy services.

Since our major goal is customer satisfaction, we pursue unique concepts in serving our customers. We source from ISO certified world leading manufacturers and distributors.

We work hard to accurately understand customers’ needs, so that we source appropriate grades and quantities. We do not limit our interaction with the customer to the purchase order and invoice, a pitfall which many suppliers get trapped in. We engage them throughout the sourcing and utilization process.

We learn and research the purchasing patterns of customers so that we anticipate and respond promptly to the needs of the customers to help them achieve their goals competitively and within their production cycles.

The aforementioned unique sales proposition (USP’s) gives our company an excellent and professional image to the customers.

The company is under the directorship of a chemical scientist and economist. The resulting technical expertise forms the basis for an excellent service to the customers. As a result, this will ensure that technical requirements of customers are understood and will be offered at competitive prices.

The day to day running is under the directorship of Ntai Martin Khoabane. He holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry and has 18 years experience as a University Lecturer and Researcher. During his tenure in academia he represented NUL in many committees in government and non-government departments affording him a wealth of knowledge and experience very useful in business.
